Tackling anxiety and depression

Anxiety and depression are very common psychological problems. More often than not, one half of a couple will be suffering from one condition – or both. I am able to treat such issues effectively in the course of couples therapy should you choose to.

Anxiety

Anxiety is prevalent in today’s society, and often goes hand in hand with depression.

Feeling anxious, with all its troubling associated physiological symptoms, can make life really miserable. It can span a mixture of emotions, from feeling nervous or frightened to experiencing panic or even terror.

People experiencing overwhelming anxiety can tend to avoid whatever appears to be triggering their symptoms, but this usually makes matters worse. Once you’re in this vicious cycle, it can seem impossible to get out of it. Fortunately, anxiety can be effectively managed with CBT, and in the course of your couples therapy.
